Hunt for Bug December

New Year!

The bug hunt turned out to be a LOT of issues with White Space and Indentation. I tried to keep some distance from working on projects, some of that being that I was out of town for a week. Went across the state and luckily wasn't stuck in any snow or having to double the drive time to avoid the passes. In my downtime, I painted with some physical media.

A more playable version of this is on its way.

One thing I wanted to better address is the sex scenes--initially was cut for time. When I submitted it, I realized that the first build wouldn't have made it past the point where you could initiate those scenes. It did strike me that I probably don't need to have those things for a gamejam game. Considering it is a fairly short game. I do believe sex scenes should be an opt in, and clear sign posting to avoid those encounters. Which is just to say, "Hey, I also want to add horny stuff to my projects regardless of its size."

I do want to reiterate that all of this is just good practice and good habit building, because I do have my main project--that I'm about to make a push into the latest version of NaniNovel and 'Barrel of Time' is some much needed experience on how best to navigate that. But that's not to say that I don't respect this as its own project and want to make it playable for myself and the people who've spoken their interest in seeing my vision or even just quietly observed. I want to do good by the ideas that inspire me and the people who believe in me.

While I cannot give a definitive timeline, I know it will be complete before the Lunar New Year (Jan 29 2025).

The upcoming year and years beyond this seem foreboding, but I want to temper it against knowing that people need art and kindness now more than ever, and support.
